Why do I feel so guilty and bad about sex before marriage?

Don't doubt your gut feeling, it sounds like you have a really strong moral compass! I've made the promise to myself to wait because i want to wait for my husband. Also, it sounds like your boyfriend is saying its okay to wait, but really isn't okay with it. Saying you're from the 1800's is just rude and it makes you feel self-conscious about your feelings. You feel the way you do because there is a strong feeling, just like the one I have, that you will regret it if you don't wait. I'm not trying to tell you how to make this decision, but you really need to be true to yourself and not allow society to persuade you! purity is a rare treasure that guys respect, so don't let him or anyone else pressure you into doing something you're not comfortable with!
