Should i get a Ibanez or a Fender bass guitar?

I want a new bass and have found a Ibanez JTKB300 and a Fender Jazz bass vintage relic road worn both on eBay. Im not sure what the Fender means but in the description it says its a 21st century bass guitar which has been made to look vintage buy making the metal slightly rusty, making the scratch plate dirty etc. I'm not sure what one to get what one will have a better sound quality? The stuff im looking to use it for will be Green day, Foo fighters, The beatles, Red hot chili peppers and other stuff like that. At the moment im thinking of getting the Fender but what would you recommend?
