Whats wrong with my mom, she wont let me wear a bikini but my dad will let me?!?

My mom won't let me wear a bikini I asked her why and she just kept saying because I said so. I asked my father and he said yeah =/ can I have some resons on why a mom wouldn't want her child wearing a bikini. Like does my mom think I'm some kind of slut or something cuz I'm prude. . . . .MOMS PLEASE ANSWER QUESTION!!!
